Seattle Sonics Trial About to Begin
I have pledged my support for the city of Seattle to keep their basketball team. Now, as the trial date looms, I read that Seattle plans to use many of the same arguments that were used in Cleveland to keep the team name, colors, and to ultimately secure an expansion team. This isn’t a typical tenant-landlord case. I hope Seattle gets to at least keep their name and history, if nothing else.
Browns Fans Hate Beat Writer
I just read an off-season article by Cleveland Plain Dealer Browns beat reporter Tony Grossi. I don’t know if I agree with him, but the commenters on there KNOW how they feel. Oof. What a tongue lashing Tony receives on this post.
I wonder how a guy who writes about the most popular team in town can keep his job when so many of the fans seem to hate his guts (and his reporting?)
REPORT: Chudzinski Signs Extension With Browns
It appears that my worst fears for the Browns off-season have been allayed. The report from the Baltimore Sun is that Rob Chudzinski has taken his name out of the running for the Ravens head coaching vacancy, opting instead to sign an extension with the Cleveland Browns. This makes me very happy.
First, it takes the pressure off of the Romeo Crennel situation. I don’t really care so much what happens with Romeo now that Chud is coming back. I risk sounding like a broken record, but Chud is the guy responsible for the turnaround in my opinion, so it is great news to know that he will be back.
