I was on a four day work week for years - and then they took it away. Yeah, when it first started we used the extra day to go places - but after awhile you do settle in a routine and you do save money - you stillhave to go to the grocery and other places after work if you have a five day work week - and having the day off you can plan a more efficient trip on the day off - or if you are like me, I did those things on the wayhome from work and kept the day off for chores around the hpuse. I am incredulous that folks wouldnot find this a savings, energy, personal etc. But so many folks are stuck in the old tradtion of the 60’s and never wanting to change. Geesh, do we have to keep the old five day week forever?

They just bought out Oak Capital (whom I might ad) took me for $35,000.00!! Their broker made $27,400.00 in commisions and I am in the hole thousands..They should all be in jail!! If Pioneer would rescue a scam operation like Oak Capital I would advise to NOT do any business with them..like they say BIRDS OF A FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER!!

I don’t blame you for not getting it. That’s fine. To think that it is some sort of abomination that shouldn’t be shown on network TV is silly. It is just as justified as boxing. It isn’t about tearing a guy’s arm off and beating him with it as Cote would have you believe.

I love MMA. I don’t need everyone else to love it too, but to disrespect it the way Cote does screams of the same stuff thrown on NASCAR before its rise to HUGE popularity. I don’t care if you don’t get it, but you have to respect it for doing something right. Cote refuses to do that, and he demeans a whole bunch of people.

I get indifference, but his opinion is STRONG.

Here I go, once again, courting your displeasure. I’ve watched a fair amount of MMA on TV, and I have to say that it hasn’t hooked me as a spectator sport. First all the caveats: the competitors are obviously great athletes. I couldn’t do what they do. Most people can’t. And it’s an interesting sport conceptually, because it does a pretty good job of testing who could beat up who in a real world fight. But with all of that said, most MMA matches look a lot like wrestling matches to me, with the big difference being that the winner gets to choke the loser unconscious or sit on his chest and beat the shit out of him. Every so often you’ll see a really unexpected submission hold, but for the most part, it’s choking and chest sitting. I’d rather watch something with a ball and a score.

MMA fans everywhere are now invited to tell me how stupid I am for not getting it.

The NFL caved and they will be simulcasting the Pats Giants game on the NFL Network, CBS AND NBC.

I would say that the letter from congress threatening their antitrust exemption was successful.

Thanks for listening. We will try and do it weekly, and I will attempt to give some warning before the next one. I was considering doing one tonight as a post-show for the Browns game against the Cards today.

The game doesn’t start until 4 PM so I guess that means around 8 PM if it happens tonight.

Otherwise, maybe Monday night.

I am of the opinion that all you need to see is the first 20 minutes of this movie. The jokes are all the same. In fact, I don’t think you need ot see Knocked Up at all. Come on Rogen, let’s see something MORE than just these same jokes.

I am not saying that this movie was terrible. I laughed. There are some funny scenes.

I still recommend 40 Year Old Virgin.

Oh yeah, and while I mentioned that Ingram is gay because I just happen to know this, any other viewer of the film wouldn’t be told this at any point. Ingram didn’t make himself a part of the story at all. Only occasionally could you hear small parts of his questions on the interviewee’s mic.

And to East Coast friend Chris, a scary reminder is sometimes helpful. Ohio has been a red state for the last two elections and this documentary made Cleveland feel socially progressive.

I watch “They Live” any time it’s on. If it was on a double bill with “Panic in the Year Zero,” it would make my day — bad acting, campy dialog — the only thing better would be if Ray Milland was in “They Live.”
