Memo to EA Sports Regarding NBA Live on Xbox Live
I don’t know what kind of operation you are running here, but is it too much to ask, on a system that requires me to download updated rosters every time I log on to the system, that you might update the Cavaliers roster so that it includes Anderson Varejao and Larry Hughes? I am sick and tired of having to use Donyell Marshall (who is currently out to injury in real life) while having Larry Hughes and Anderson Varejao unavailable in the game when they are actually playing in real life.
I know the loss of Larry Hughes might not seem like that big of a deal, but with an online video game rating of 82, he represents a significant upgrade to any other players on the Cavaliers roster in the game.
Please please please just update the rosters. I paid good money for the game and I pay good money for access to Xbox Live.
Thank you.
Browns Hire Mel Tucker As D Coordinator
After firing Todd Grantham, the Browns ended speculation about whether they would bring someone in or promote from within by promoting Mel Tucker from d-backs coach to defensive coordinator. All I know is that this means we will have more of the same scheming, presumably. I would guess that Romeo’s fingerprints will be all over this team via his newest coordinator.
REPORT: Chudzinski Signs Extension With Browns
It appears that my worst fears for the Browns off-season have been allayed. The report from the Baltimore Sun is that Rob Chudzinski has taken his name out of the running for the Ravens head coaching vacancy, opting instead to sign an extension with the Cleveland Browns. This makes me very happy.
First, it takes the pressure off of the Romeo Crennel situation. I don’t really care so much what happens with Romeo now that Chud is coming back. I risk sounding like a broken record, but Chud is the guy responsible for the turnaround in my opinion, so it is great news to know that he will be back.
Joe Thomas Gets Some ROY Love
Adrian Peterson was the runaway winner of offensive rookie of the year, but Browns rookie left tackle Joe Thomas got some votes. That is great for him and the Browns because Thomas had an excellent rookie campaign. Also, it is very rare for an offensive lineman to get much credit. I guess Phil Savage is feeling pretty good today too even though he passed on Peterson. The fact that his pick, an offensive lineman, got any votes at all speaks to the quality of Thomas’ play in his rookie season.
NFL Network Should Be Scared
When Congress sends you a letter threatening your exemption from anti-trust laws, you should probably be scared.
Is It Backing In If They Hand It To You?
People kept saying that Ohio State was going to “back into” the national championship game. After last night’s two butt kickings, I am not sure Ohio State is backing in.
All of a sudden after watching both Missouri and West Virginia choke, Ohio State seems more deserving than ever. Not to be a complete hack, but this is the wildest college football season, probably in the history of college football.
The final matchups will be announced tonight.

Michigan is losing 28-14 to Appalachian State at home. This game could end up being far bigger than any other game in the nation if Appalachian State continues to hold strong on the Wolverines.
