Metallica Hates Bloggers

Metallica was against Napster back in the 90’s and today, they appear to be against bloggers.

After inviting music bloggers to listen to six tracks of their upcoming album, the band has now gone around asking all those bloggers to remove reviews that they wrote after listening to the songs.

Wha wha what?

What, exactly, did Metallica think a bunch of music bloggers were going to do with their newfound ear candy?

UPDATE: Apparently, Metallica’s MANAGEMENT COMPANY hates bloggers. The boys of Metallica have “ear spanked” their management company and told all involved to post reviews as much as they would like.

Political Roundup

I will just say that I wasn’t unhappy with the results that were posted here in Ohio this week. I have found over the last eight years that I don’t stand shoulder to shoulder with anyone on politics. Lefties, righties, whatever. If you identify yourself you are a crazy person.

At least this is where my head is right now.

Maybe I will feel differently the next time a presidential election rolls around.

“Not every mention of God in public is a breach to the wall of separation. Context matters,” the Illinois Democrat said in remarks to a conference of Call to Renewal, a faith-based movement to overcome poverty.

“It is doubtful that children reciting the Pledge of Allegiance feel oppressed or brainwashed as a consequence of muttering the phrase `under God,’” he said. “Having voluntary student prayer groups using school property to meet should not be a threat, any more than its use by the High School Republicans should threaten Democrats.”

Fleck expects the private club to become an oasis for gay men, but all men, he said, are welcome. “Straight men who are comfortable with their sexuality wouldn’t have any problem coming here,” he said. “It’s the homophobes who would.”

Fleck stressed that the bathhouse is not a sex club. “We frown on anything like that,” he said. “No sleaze.”

This can’t possibly end well. When an athlete says it isn’t about the money, it is ALWAYS about the money. Whenever anyone says it ISN’T about sex, let me tell you that it will end up BEING about sex.

This just in . . .

Putting a bunch of people who are attracted to each other into a situation with nudity and hotel rooms will lead to sex.

Thom Yorke Turns Down Tony Blair

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke says he turned down the chance to discuss climate change with Tony Blair because the British prime minister has “no environmental credentials.”

But the rock star from Radiohead does? I know what he means but this statement is still funny.
