Mike Vick’s NikePlus Workout
Check out track 13 where Vick states that he likes the song “Air it Out” when he is hanging in the backyard with his pitbulls. I wonder how soon Nike will pull this off of iTunes.

My First Race
I have just signed up for my first 5K which will be taking place near me in August. Time to start running those 5K’s competitively for my training. Time to work on some speed, I guess.
Here was my run this morning.
Pacman Jones Becoming a Wrestler
Who has a worse image problem right now? Professional Wrestling or the NFL? Well, let’s not let a contest ensue. They can share the title, especially now that Pacman Jones is reportedly going to join Jeff Jarrett’s TNA Wrestling company.
Kenny Love is Back!
Kenny Lofton may be old, but he is playing effectively and could potentially provide the kind of spark that the Indians need. Lofton will bring defense to one of the corner outfield spots and on top of that he could move into the Indians’ leadoff spot where Grady Sizemore has been doing a nice job.
Now I am sure a lot of people would wonder why anyone would want to move Sizemore from the leadoff spot, but Sizemore has shown enough power and hitting ability with people on base that he would be far more effective in either the two or three hole in the lineup.
Regardless. Welcome back Kenny Lofton!
Ryan Garko is Hitting Bombs and Saving Lives
Ryan Garko should be all of our hero after this story.
When she went to the hospital to get checked out, doctors discovered a tumor on her lung.
Raines is in good health and is getting more results on what the doctors found.
My Neighborhood is Cool
I stop for coffee almost every morning at Arabica in University Heights. Every morning since I have gone there, I have never seen any kind of backup in the line, but this morning there were about 10 people waiting. It seems that someone had scheduled employees wrong, or one employee had failed to show up for work.
Instead of getting annoyed with the long line and complaining, people just waited patiently. When it was my turn, I glanced at the tip jar and it was more loaded than any other time I have ever been to the store. I got a tiny bit of pride as I left my customary tip in the overflowing jar.
Album of the Day 07/17/2007
As part of my new job, I occasionally get to pump some tunes while I am working. Despite the fact that I am all iPod’ed out nowadays, I still prefer to listen to entire albums. Today’s album is The Bends by Radiohead. It is an oldie but a goodie. There are at least three worthy singles on that album and very little filler. Street Spirit is among the best album closing songs that I can think of on any album that I own. My Iron Lung, The Bends, and Fake Plastic Trees ensure that this album sits in a select group of albums that is completely listenable and enjoyable from beginning to end.
Eric Wedge Gets a Three Year Extension
After the Indians got off to a good start, the Indians used this opportunity to give Eric Wedge an extension. I don’t think Wedge has been a bad manager, but I also don’t think he has been exceptional given the amount of young talent that appears to be on the Indians. He bungled some personnel decisions like Brandon Phillips, who is now a nice piece on the Reds. Also, he sent Fausto Carmona to the minors before Jake Westbrook got hurt and opened up a spot in the rotation for him.
And who knows where the Tribe would be without Carmona’s 11-4 record this season? I guess Wedge is lucky that this happened on his contract year. Let’s hope he can get this team to the playoffs.
Fetching Cody
Despite an awful name and a 0% Fresh rating on RottenTomatoes.com, this movie was surprisingly entertaining. It is a little inconsistent, and the performances aren’t amazing, but I was glad I watched this movie. And just to be sure that it is good in spite of it getting a free pass from me due to its subject matter involving time travel, I can say that Jen liked it too. So, if you can find it, check out Fetching Cody.

Jim Norton - Happy Endings
If you want to read a funny, sarcastic, gross book by a guy who makes me laugh every day on the radio, buy Happy Endings by Jim Norton. The Foreword by Colin Quinn is hilarious and the first few chapters are more than entertaining.
