The Black Donnelly’s Canceled
I am starting to feel pretty good about my prognostication abilities after I gave up on this show after two episodes. NBC promptly dumped the rest of the series. I feel like this is restitution for being fooled with Crash in 2004. That was about the worst movie in hindsight. It was good at first, and then it started to hit you that it was preachy, too easily fit together and had Ryan Phillippe.
Anyway, I am happy to see The Black Donnelly’s go bye bye.
Also, can anyone else think of a movie that was worse than Crash in hindsight? Crash was a wacky movie because it seemed good for a minute or two, and then once you actually think about it, it becomes the Patch Adams of racism.

I know I’m the only person on earth who felt this way, but I 100% put Schindler’s List in the “good at first, trite & preachy in hindsight” category.

I think I am the only person I know who actually liked The Black Donnelly’s. Now that you mention it, however, I am not exactly sure why. I mean I guess the first few episodes dragged me in. Did I just continue to enjoy the show because I was stuck in the habit of watching it?
Could the same be said about the last few lame episodes of Sopranos?…
i just found out about this show being cancelled so I googled to learn more. this came up close to the top.
My television was finally starting to entertain me again, but the opiated masses spoke their collective mind and now instead we get more reality show buttdrivel.
aaargh.
I suggest a subscription to Showtime.
Their two shows Weeds and Dexter are both far and away better than The Black Donnely’s could ever hope to be.
