Forget Matsuzaka, the Cleveland Indians signed right-hander Jeff Harris to a minor league contract Wednesday with an invitation to spring training.

“Harris, 33, started last season with Seattle and posted a 5.40 ERA in three games before being sent to Triple-A Tacoma. He was 0-3 with a 5.52 ERA in 15 games at Tacoma and spent two months on the disabled list with right shoulder tendinitis.

He has a career record of 2-5 with a 4.26 ERA in 14 games over two seasons with the Mariners.”
