OJ Simpson Special Cancelled
I wonder who all the outraged people are. I haven’t met them. I couldn’t care less and apparently neither could any of the people I know. So who are these that make up the outraged public?
Belated Congrats to Kiddicus
Congrats on Kiddicus following my advice on his way to being engaged.
- “Don’t f*ck it up.”
- Craig
I can’t count the number of times I have given this advice to Kiddicus. Glad he finally listened.
Squares for the Big Game
Some people in my office decided that this weekend’s OSU vs. Michigan game would be a good opportunity to break out the squares office pool thing like they do every year for the Super Bowl. I just couldn’t bring myself to participate. Squares are for games that need to be made more interesting. Generally they are for games where you don’t have anyone to root for so that it can make the game more interesting.
Let’s just say that I don’t need to put any money in a pool to watch this game. Until or unless the Buckeyes have a three touchdown lead, there will be no need for additional incentives to watch the game.
Truth be told, even with a three touchdown lead, I won’t feel that the game is safely in hand until the final whistle at the end of the fourth quarter.
Assuming that there is no overtime.
Holy shit.
I don’t know if I can handle an overtime game.
Red Eye
I haven’t seen a worse movie than Red Eye in a while. I wasn’t expecting much, but the plot, predictability and bad acting were too much to put up with. Rachel McAdams is, at this point, merely a pretty face. But not pretty enough to carry Red Eye.

Baseball is Still Broken
If you didn’t know it before, you should know it now. The Boston Red Sox bid a reported $51.1 million for a Japanese player. But that bid doesn’t give them his contract. That gives them the right to negotiate a contract with the player.
But really, the Red Sox are nothing like the Yankees. No, really.
I hope this game collapses soon so we can install a salary cap and a salary floor.
Browns vs. Steelers - 2006 - The Battle for Last Place
If you had told me at the beginning of the season that the Browns and the Steelers would be going head to head in week 11 of the NFL season battling it out to see who could stay out of last place in the division with identical records of 3-6, I would have called you a liar and an idiot. I wonder who has more motivation this week? The Steelers who have been struggling all year and who will amost certainly not be able to defend their Superbowl, or the Browns who hit their lowest point since coming back in 1999 when they dropped a game at home to the Steelers last season 41-0.

Political Roundup
I will just say that I wasn’t unhappy with the results that were posted here in Ohio this week. I have found over the last eight years that I don’t stand shoulder to shoulder with anyone on politics. Lefties, righties, whatever. If you identify yourself you are a crazy person.
At least this is where my head is right now.
Maybe I will feel differently the next time a presidential election rolls around.
