Netflix vs. Blockbuster
I am not a lawyer, but I have a few questions about this case. One of the Netflix claims is that Blockbuster ripped off its “no late fees” features. Here is the main question.
If Netflix didn’t come up with the idea of late fees in the first place, how can they patent the absence of something that they didn’t invent and call it an infringement?
I can feel a full post coming along sometime soon.
Going to California
Not me folks. A package. I needed to get something to California by tomorrow morning. It cost me $37 but they guarantee delivery by 10:30 AM. When you really think about it, that is pretty amazing. Score one for Fedex.
American Idol: Mandisa is Gone
I must say I am a little surprised that Mandisa is gone, but at the same time, it doesn’t bother me. So, if you are keeping score at home, grey hair (Taylor) is much more gooder than fat people (Mandisa.) Fat people (Mandisa) much more gooder than lispy Long Islanders (Kevin Covais.)
I think we could get a whole read on the stratification of stereotypes after this show is over.

Japanese Gay Porn Actor Traded to Oakland A’s
Kazuhito Tadano admitted to appearing in a movie while he was a college student in Japan. Then he came to the U.S. to play baseball and ended up on the Indians. (Insert joke involving pitchers and catchers here.) Now he has been traded to Oakland for Ramon Alvarado.
Sabathia Placed on 15-day DL
The Indians are off to an auspicious start. A rain-delayed opening day loss and the team’s number one starter on the DL to start the year. The good news is that the team has more depth than they have had in the past. Jason Davis will come in to join the bullpen until a starter is needed. Then Fausto Carmona will probably be called from Buffalo to pitch when a starter is needed for CC’s spot in the rotation.
Larry Hughes is Back Tomorrow!
The Cavs have clinched a playoff spot. They have won 8 in a row. Larry Hughes is going to be back in uniform for the first time since December. Maybe this team can make the playoffs interesting.
Just maybe.
One More Day Without O&A
I know this makes me sound spoiled, but I can’t believe after a week of vacation for Opie and Anthony I have to wait one more day for live shows. The boys deserve vacations and all, but I can’t tell you how disappointed I am to not have them back on Monday due to some travel issues with Anthony’s plane. I rely on their show (probably too much) to relax after work, and I was really looking forward to listening today.
I don’t mean to complain, but I guess it is a good thing that there are people like me who like their show this much.
