Mark Cuban on the Stock Market
Mark Cuban writes another interesting short column on the stock market.
It is always interesting to me to hear from the perspective of a guy who has been a market maker in his career. It is one thing for most of us to invest in the stock market, and it is quite another for a guy who has made loads of money with his companies in concert with the stock market.
Kevin Federline “Drops” Playing with Fire
I am going to step out on a limb here and say that this will be the worst album of “music” in the history of an industry that gave us Chumbawumba, Right Said Fred, The Fine Young Cannibals, Bobby McFerrin, Snow, Vanilla Ice, and Creed.
Y’all ready for dis? Blech.
Cavs Clinch Playoff Spot vs. Mavs
Lebron scored 46 points in a victory over the Mavericks 107-94. It is the first time the Cavs have been in the playoffs since 1998. I don’t even remember what it’s like to watch the playoffs. This should be interesting. If the playoffs were starting today, the Cavs would be up against the Washington Wizards.
Streamchopper: This won’t last long.
This program will make MP3’s out of streaming internet radio.
It claims to record hundreds of songs per hour. There is no way that I can think of that this isn’t going to get sued in some way shape or form. Try to name a legal use for this technology. Most radio stations play copyrighted music and have to pay rights.
Indians Sign Sizemore to 6 Year Deal
I don’t quite know what to do with this. It seems like all the Cleveland sports teams are… (gasp!) TRYING TO COMPETE. This means that the Tribe has locked him in until around his 29th birthday. He gets a seemingly massive raise (although the details haven’t been disclosed yet) and he still has a chance to score a bigtime deal depending on how he performs for the next six years. It is a gamble for both Sizemore and the team to sign such a long-term deal, but I like the prospect.

Is Diamond Dave Gone?
Rumor has it that the deed has been done and DLR is officially the world’s largest radio bust. He did for radio what Magic Johnson did for latenight television. He did for radio what Ted McGinley does to sitcoms. He has done for radio what Pauly Shore did for movies. Goodbye DLR. You won’t be missed.
I Write the Songs…
I was listening to the radio this morning and someone was talking about Barry Manilow’s new contract to perform at the Vegas Hilton. Now, without even hearing the song, I have “I Write the Songs” in my head. I wish I had headphones right now. I would cleanse the pallet with some death metal or something. Maybe Converge or The Dillinger Escape Plan.

L’Oreal High Intensity Pigments: FAILURE
If you pay Scarlett Johannson to be your spokesperson and then make her look like something that Jack Nicholson’s Joker character would have created, then you are not doing a good job. Has anyone else seen these commercials? Scarlett Johannson looks like a colorful raccoon.

Live Action Simpsons
Dell XPS Renegade
If I was going to spend almost $10,000 on a computer, then this would be awesome.
But then again, I don’t know anyone who spends $10,000 on a single PC. This computer buisiness is escaping from Dell, methinks.
