Doom the Movie Starring The Rock
October 24, 2005 · Filed Under Uncategorized
I know that movies and video games don’t mix all that well. The Super Mario Brothers movie was a complete borefest. Still, having spent so many hours of my life playing Doom 2 against friends over the modem, I am going to have to give it a shot and go see the movie. I expect it to be mindless, violent and hopefully fun. I know critics don’t like it (it got a tomato-meter reading of 20% on rotten tomatoes) but it doesn’t matter. I need to give it a shot.
Who is with me?

Sorry, but I don’t think the Rock has ever made a movie that classifies as “fun.”
Better do some tequila shots before you go.
Didn’t you see The Rundown with Stiffler? That movie was fun. Totally fun.
Walking Tall wasn’t really all that fun. But check out the Rundown for some mindless Jewel of the Nile style entertainment.
No, I can’t say that I’ve seen the Rundown, or that Stiffler would be motivation for me to watch it. But I do like that Jewel of the Nile. Not as good as Romancing the Stone, but still…
