U2 Sucks Now
I understand that they are the most prolific rock band, probably in the history of music. I realize they have fans, the world over. They have one of the most impressive music catalogs in the history of music.
That being said, no band in the world has the right to charge what they charge to go to their concert.
Their show at Gund Arena, which will sell out proving that ticket prices aren’t out of line with supply and demand, has ticket levels of:
$49.50
$95.00
$160.00
I understand people will pay it, but that doesn’t make it right. $160 for a concert experience is over the line of decency. Are we talking about 2 hours of music? Even if they play for three hours, that is just too much.
Just my opinion.
2005 Summer Tour Announcements
Also Nine Inch Nails is supposedly going to play more modestly sized venues than its last arena tour five years ago. Not sure what that means, but it would be nice to see them in a place that holds less than 10,000 people.

Fiona Apple is Caged
Apparently, Fiona Apple finished an album in 2003 and Sony has crapped the bed and decided not to release it because they don’t think it will sell. Last time I checked, Fiona Apple’s first two albums both went platinum and her version of Across the Universe from the Pleasantville soundtrack is just incredible. Anyway, some crazy Fiona Apple fans have started a site to try and get the album released. They had Apple’s fans send different packages to Andrew Lack who took over at the helm of Sony.
Also, I found a copy of the album online and it is really good. I will certainly buy a copy if and when it comes out properly.
Maroon 5 Get a Free Pass
I really do like a couple songs by Maroon 5 and despite the fact that I like what I like and don’t do the guilty pleasure thing anymore, I was looking for a good excuse to give this band a free pass. Old habits die hard I guess.
We’re just easy to disregard. Almost as self-aware as Mark McGrath naming his album 14:59
