Hilary Swank – Fruit Smuggler

Hilary Swank is fined $163 for stowing away fruit in a suitcase to New Zealand.

The only thing amazing about this story is that Swank, who has won two Oscars after being The Next Karate Kid, appealed the fine with a hand-written note.

I don’t make anywhere near as much money as Hilary Swank and I wouldn’t fight a $163 fine for something I was so guilty.

Entrapment of a Plagiarist

I couldn’t stop laughing while I read this. I was feeling badly for a minute, but when I go through the levels of stupidity that this girl reached, I can’t help but start laughing again.

Eff South Beach and Eff Atkins Too

Burger King has a new breakfast sandwich called the Enormous Omelet Sandwich.

“The sandwich will have one sausage patty, two eggs, two American cheese slices and three strips of bacon, according to the newspaper.

That works out to 730 calories and 47 grams of fat, according to the report — more than a Whopper burger, which the Burger King Web site said has 700 calories and 42 grams of fat…

“The critics will still label it food porn,” Sherri Daye Scott, editor at fast-food magazine QSR, told the paper. “But the average male fast-food customer does not have a problem with this.”

MMMMM… give me some food porn. This should come packaged with a gift certificate for artery balloon work.

Pat O’Brien Scoreboard

I am sure many of you have heard about the Pat O’Brien phone messages where he is speaking explicitly about sex. Well, if you haven’t you need to go here and listen to them.

This is the Pat O’Brien scorecard and it has all of the calls as well as a fully functional scorecard keeping track of all the things that Pat has to say on the phone. How many times he drops the eff bomb. How many illicit things he wants to do to the girl he calls. Just hilarious. This guy is SOOOO out of a job, it isn’t even funny.

Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason

I was dragged into watching Bridget Jones The Edge of Reason with the ever-horrendous Renee Zellwegger. DittoHeston had her own problems with this movie, specifically the in movie quiz that is included as a “special feature” on the DVD.

I am now reading reviews of all movies on RottenTomatoes.com in order to protect myself, but when someone else is making the decisions there is no way to protect myself.

Rotten Tomatoes would have protected me from Bridget Jones though. The Edge of Reason received 27% which qualifies for Rotten Status. I agree whole-heartedly.

Gratitude – Band to Watch

According to Rolling Stone, Jonah Matranga and his band Gratitude is someone to watch. You will remember that I reviewed their disc already, so I must be cooler than Rolling Stone.

My Chemical Romance – Helena

My Chemical Romance, a post-punk/emo band, totally slipped through the cracks for me until now. I have been listening to their song, Helena, for about three days now. They are pretty melodramatic, but they have a pretty good singer and good songs. Anyway, check out that song if you get the chance. I think it is in pretty heavy rotation on FUSE TV.

Coming soon to a store near you… you can pay with a fingerprint. RFID detectors will alert the store to out of stock merchandise, etc.

Sounds pretty cool to me.

Spiderman 3: Villain

They have now announced Thomas Hayden Church to play the next villain in Spiderman 3.

Which villain, you ask? Stupid Sam Raimi hasn’t said. Alright I need guesses from those of you who are familiar with the Spiderman Series.
