The Worst Oscar Winners for Best Picture
February 24, 2005 · Filed Under Uncategorized
According to the British film magazine Emprire:
1. Braveheart (1995)
2. A Beautiful Mind (2001)
3. The Greatest Show On Earth (1952)
4. Ordinary People (1980)
5. Forrest Gump (1994)
6. Terms Of Endearment (1983)
7. Around The World in 80 Days (1956)
8. Cavalcade (1933)
9. Rocky (1976)
10. How Green Was My Valley (1941)
How is it that Forrest Gump makes this list? I love Braveheart too, so for it to be number one seems kind of crazy.

Craig,
Not sure how the Brits feel about the story of a Scot who almost took over their country.
Second, Forrest Gump was good and I really liked it, but besides Tom Hanks accent, was there really any good acting in the film thinking back on it. Also, the film was basically about American history from the 50 to 80s, again not something I think the Brits care about.
