Johnny Carson Dead at 79

Having been born in 1979, Johnny Carson was the only person to host The Tonight Show before Jay Leno ruined it with his awful humor and cheesiness. It also means that I missed out on most of his brightest moments, but I do know his social significance due to the Dana Carvey impersonations.

    I was also born in ‘79, and I watched Carson all the time. I never slept as a kid. That’s the ticket. I also remember when Dave Letterman’s show was really good when it was on NBC.
