I wonder what Michael Moore is up to. If it is the same kind of misdirection that he has engaged in in the past then it could be very bad for an industry that is already hurting from a plethora of overreactions and something of a witch hunt. Maybe this never would have happened if the Peterson trial hadn’t ended.

R.I.P. Reggie White

Today we mourn the loss of the Minister of Dee-Fense, Reggie White who died in his sleep at age 43. When he wasn’t making racial generalizations, he was quite a football player.

By the way, the wife made a statement through her pastor that said something about Reggie’s sleep apnea and how he is believed to have died from that. Sounds fishy to me. Maybe the apnea was agitated with a pillow? Maybe not.

that my cat Pixie has made it through her surgery to remove her reproductive organs without a problem. I have also been informed that the incision needed to be about one half inch longer than normal due to the fact that she is in heat and had an enlarged uterus. The fact that she is in heat wasn’t a big surprise based on how she was “presenting” to Kiddicus last week. (For the record, he declined her advances.)

Rights to Privacy

This is something that is important and is getting no media coverage. A class action lawsuit has been filed against Sunoco in Ohio and a group called Ohio Citizen Action, who has nothing to do with the lawsuit, has been given a subpoena to turn over confidential citizen information that they received as a part of a survey. They have denied up to this point, but they are going to be found in contempt soon. If this was happening to a reporter who wanted to hide his/her source it would be all over the papers. As Andrew Sullivan states, this is an interesting moment for weblogging as the question was asked by the editor of the LA Times and presented to webloggers. The answers (if they come fast and interestingly enough) could provide some cohesive, building group consensus.

Or it could be worthless.
