Song of the Moment
I know there is a video and stuff for this band/song now, but it is still a cool song with cool lyrics. I am still trying to totally figure out the meaning completely, but I dig it.
The song is “Sic Transit Gloria … Glory Fades” by Brand New
Brand New should be a guilty pleasure or something, but they are just a damn good rock band.
More Randomness
I can delete many many spam comments at a time from this weblog with MT Blacklist you filthy spamming losers. I am no longer in fear of your programs which exploit Movable Type. Muahahahaha. All your links to online casinos and r@pe and in*est stories will now be gone.
Did you know if your fingers are in the wrong position and you go to type “yo yo yo” it will appear as “up up up”?
Five Cleveland Indians in the all-star game is pretty cool. Notice there were no relief pitchers from Cleveland. Alas, this is why they have lost 21 games after the seventh inning so far this year. No effing bullpen.
Really, I should sleep more at night.
Songs Playlist
I have used Winamp to create the playlist of MP3’s on my computer. I own every single one of these CD’s. These were all ripped to my computer from CD’s that have been purchased. Did you get that?
Brando-mania
A mystery wrapped in a riddle, tongue tied with a tongue twister while being challenged by final Jeopardy and working on the world’s most difficult crossword puzzle. This might be like trying to understand the man.
Boozing
Why is it that every time I think a team is on the verge, something bad happens? Albert Belle takes more money from the White Sox. Manny Ramirez signs a huge deal with the Boston Red Sox. It was pretty much over, but Thome signs with the Phillies. Hell, even when Belichik cut Bernie Kosar. Now this.
Boozer agrees to deal with Jazz.
Remake Mania
Bobcat Goldthwait and Michael Winslow are elated today.
Changing of the Guard
Who’s family is devastated? I am sure Mike is elated.
Moore Watch
These people are doing what they can to take down Michael Moore. Some of it is interesting, but they get just as crazy as they allege their target to be. Still, I couldn’t help but find this piece of news funny.
One of the articles proclaims the news about Fahrenheit 911 being the top opening weekend for a documentary ever with 21.8 million dollars is an out and out lie. In their estimation, Jackass the Movie which grossed 22.8 in its opening weekend was bigger and a documentary.
Zealots are funny when they aren’t being scary.
Going to Detroit
This is going to be a very long weekend. Half day of work today, then off to Detroit with my friend Todd (whoa, it’s Todd) to see Iron and Wine at a club and then a night of legal casino gambling. This is the break that I need. Anyone want to come to Detroit and gamble with me? No? Well, fine then. What are you doing with your long weekend?
