The West Wing
I haven’t seen all of the shows just yet, but after different holiday marathons and catching it on Bravo at 11:00 PM most nights, I am slowly catching up with every episode of The West Wing that I have missed. Last night I was watching some “viewer’s choice” marathon and I was able to see the two episodes that flashback to the original campaign trail when the team that runs the White House was originally assembled. Absolutely fascinating. Brilliantly written and executed almost perfectly. I have no complaints.
I am prepared to say that The West Wing is the greatest television show in the history of the universe. It beats the Sopranos due to its consistency. ER isn’t even close. Friends wishes it was half as good. Law and Order is a joke in comparison. It has taken Eric from Billy Madison to new heights. It resurrected Rob Lowe (even though he was in Wayne’s World.) It has solidified Martin Sheen as one of the best actors I have ever seen. Maybe this character is just perfect for him, but I have never seen Martin Sheen any better in my entire life.
If you haven’t seen this show, you should buy the seasons on DVD. NOW!

I am/was a big fan of The West Wing, but I haven’t been watching it this season. It kinda sucks now.
Also, they kill/nearly kill someone at the end of every season of that show, without fail. It’s really getting to be rather ridiculous.
