Pat Tillman Killed in Action
Pat Tillman was killed in action in Afghanistan in a fire fight. Tillman used to play for the Arizona Cardinals and he turned down about 3.5 million dollars from an NFL contract to serve his country.
I don’t have anything else to say about this, except that his family should be proud of him.

I thought he gave up a lot when he joined - $3+ million. Now he’s given up everything.
Dying in war isn’t be as impressive as one of those players doing football at poverty level or for free, you know just for shits and giggles. Then I’d be impressed.
Often we hear children referring to athletes as heroes and role models - all because they can play a sport well. I am not a child, but when I hear a story about someone like Tillman I think - man, he’s my hero! He sacrificed it all for the defense of the beliefs and actions of his country. His patriotism is admirable. May he rest in peace!
