<description>Does the fact that Tressel was rocking the short sleeved dress shirt and tie under the sweater vest during the Texas game remove some of the negativity towards the combo?

<description>you can veto the no-plaid rule all you want, but I spend very little time sipping tiny beers in country clubs in my current situation, and i'd like to keep it that way. no plaid, no schoolboy thing.

<description>Most of your fashion comments are spot-on. However, I have to agree with Sally and say that, while a bit schoolboyish, the navy blazer/khaki pants combo is Hot with a capital H.

Kiddicus, you may also be surprised to find out that your no-plaid rule is also vetoed. Plaid pants, combined with a pastel golf shirt or white oxford with the sleeves rolled up a bit, can be EXTREMELY hot in the right setting. Near a lake, golf course or beach, that look screams "I have money and confidence to spare." Think J Crew model. Girls like J Crew models. J Crew wouldn't sell the clothes if they didn't.

<description>"We can't forget about the blazer, button up, possible tie and.... JEANS!"

Brandon and Dylan both sport these styles in Beverly Hills 90210, so is there an exception to be made? I mean sure maybe David Silver jumped on the bandwagon, but that doesn't make it wrong, does it?

<description>But it's got "water &#038; stain shield." Is that a diaper under each arm or something like that?

<description>I remember Woody Bliss wearing short sleeve dress shirts that were skin tight...and he NEVER wore an undershirt which was maybe the most horrifying sight in the history of WGHS.

<description>Mr. Ishee! Yes, the volleyball coach. And it was always a white shirt, right? I also believe Mr. Dunkle wore those and one or both of the Dingmans.

I agree with everything except that I do think it's okay to mix navy and brown because do men have navy dress shoes to wear with navy dress pants?

One more comment- Yes, the navy blazer and khaki pants are a little catholic school boy but I think it's hot!

<description>Every time I see someone with a shortsleeve dress shirt and a tie, I think of Mr. Ishee.

<description>since we're getting all fashion here, the short sleeve dress shirt is unacceptable. some other unacceptable business clothing:

Both of Deezo's examples. blech.

no black shoes with brown suits. actually, never mix black and brown in any way. or black and navy blue. for that matter, don't mix brown and navy blue.

do not wear a striped tie with a striped shirt, even if the stripes are co-linear.

just don't wear plaid. ever.

a blue blazer &#038; khakis makes you look like a catholic school boy. avoid unless necessary

be aware of the undertones of your skin - if they are red, avoid red shirts/suits, but accentuate with a red tie.
