This Moment in Blogging History

(an excerpt from the VH1 show “I Love the 2000’s” which hits the airwaves in 2026)

In the year 2006, Blogging achieved another infamous milestone on its way to becoming less of a phenomenon and more of a cliched annoyance. An unfunny comic appeared in the newspapers to try to capitalize. Acceptance in the mainstream, while a goal for the near term, eventually becomes the downfall of anything and everything that might once have been considered cool. Blogging eventually became the mental version of break dancing. As youths put away their cardboard dancefloors in the 80’s, people started closing up their hosting accounts in the late 2000’s.
